CV Warehouse Terms of Service

The agreement under which CV Warehouse supplies career services, career tools and digital products through cvwarehouse.ai. Eight Parts, forty-four clauses and eight Service Schedules.

Effective 10 December 2013 Last updated 14 August 2026 Operator CV Warehouse Contact [email protected]

These Terms set out a clear, commercially transparent framework, so that you understand both what the Services you buy actually cover and which factors sit outside CV Warehouse's control. CV Warehouse runs career-services and employment-technology businesses across the GCC and international markets. What follows explains how those Services are delivered, what we commit to, what we need from you, and how responsibility is shared between us and the independent parties who operate in the career market. Read it before buying or using any Service.

How to read this page. The forty-four clauses are grouped into eight Parts, and each Part opens with a short plain-language note headed “In short”. Those notes are navigational aids written to help you find the right clause quickly. They form no part of the agreement, add nothing to it and take nothing away from it. Where a note and a clause differ, the clause governs.

Part 1

The agreement between you and CV Warehouse

In short. These Terms are the contract. They begin to apply the moment you use the Website, open an Account or place an Order, they sit alongside the Privacy Policy and your Order, and the Schedules at the end of this page take priority for the Service they cover.

1.1Who this agreement is between, and when it starts

CV Warehouse publishes these Terms of Service (the Terms). They form the contract between CV Warehouse and every User of the Website, the Services and any Deliverables, and they take effect from the Effective Date shown at the top of this page. They bind both sides so far as Applicable Law allows.

You are treated as having accepted them once you do any one of the following:

  • open the Website, or carry on using it;
  • register an Account;
  • place an Order, or pay for any Service;
  • begin a Subscription;
  • upload Customer Content;
  • give CV Warehouse authority to act for you in connection with a Service; or
  • carry on using the Services after we have told you the Terms have changed.

1.2Words that carry a defined meaning

Certain words are used throughout with a fixed meaning. They are grouped below by what they describe. Where the context clearly requires a different reading, the context prevails.

Parties, people and places

  • CV Warehouse, we, us and our refer to the corporate group trading as “CV Warehouse”, along with its affiliates and associated undertakings.
  • User is anyone who reaches or uses the Website or the Services.
  • Customer is a User who has placed an Order or bought a Service.
  • Account is the registered profile through which Services are reached or managed.
  • Website covers the online properties through which we make the Services available.
  • Employer is any organisation or individual that might receive, review or act on a CV or an application.
  • Recruiter is an agency, intermediary or professional operating in the employment market.
  • Job Board is a third-party platform that lists vacancies or receives applications.

What we supply

  • Services covers the career, technology and related services we offer, taking in both Career Services and Career Tools.
  • Career Services are the professional services: writing, editing and optimising CVs and résumés, cover letters, LinkedIn work, CV Distribution, job-search help, AutoPilot, career consulting and recruitment-related work.
  • Career Tools are the assessments, calculators, tests, resources and other digital instruments published on the Website.
  • CV and Resume mean a career document that we prepare, supply, edit or distribute in connection with a Service.
  • Deliverables are the documents, files, reports, profiles and other outputs we hand over to a Customer under an Order.
  • Digital Product covers downloadable or access-based material, training, masterclasses and resources included.
  • CV Distribution is the act of sending a Customer's CV and supporting material to Employers, Recruiters, databases or Third-Party Platforms on that Customer's instruction.
  • AutoPilot is our automated and AI-assisted job-search and application work, carried out on a Customer's instruction and to their criteria.
  • Job Application Services means submitting applications to vacancies for a Customer.

Commercial arrangements

  • Order is a purchase, booking or instruction for a Service that CV Warehouse has accepted.
  • Subscription is a Service supplied repeatedly across successive Service Periods.
  • Service Period is the span of time a Service or Subscription runs for.
  • Applicable Law means whichever laws, regulations and mandatory rules govern the party, Service or processing in question.

Information and outside platforms

  • Content is the text, data, images, documents and other material available through the Website or the Services.
  • Customer Content is Content a Customer supplies, uploads or authorises, CV information, employment history and supporting material included.
  • Personal Information carries the meaning given to it in the Privacy Policy and under Applicable Law.
  • Third-Party Services and Third-Party Platform cover anything run by someone other than CV Warehouse, which includes Job Boards, professional networks, payment processors, cloud and hosting providers, communications providers and AI providers.

1.3The documents that make up this agreement

This page is not the whole of the contract. It works together with the Privacy Policy, the refund and cancellation provisions that attach to your purchase, the Schedules at the end of this page, the Order or service confirmation we issue to you, any Subscription terms, and anything else expressly brought in by reference. Together those documents are the entire agreement on this subject and they displace earlier discussions and representations, though nothing in them excludes liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Where a Schedule or an express written service guarantee says something different from the general provisions on this page, the more specific wording wins. That priority is limited: it applies only as far as the conflict actually goes, and only to the Service the Schedule or guarantee relates to.

1.4Changes we make to these Terms

We revise these Terms from time to time as our Services, technology, operating practices or legal obligations move on. The Last Updated date at the top records the most recent revision.

When a change is material, we give notice through the Services or by another suitable route before it takes effect, where that is reasonably practicable and where Applicable Law requires it. Revised Terms govern Orders placed and Services supplied after the relevant effective date, and, where it is legally appropriate, continued use of the Services. If a material change would work against you on a Subscription, you may cancel under clause 4.2.

Part 2

Access, accounts and acceptable use

In short. You need legal capacity and accurate information to use the Services. You look after your own login. This Part also lists what we offer, the extra rules attached to individual Services, what we need from you, and what you must not do here.

2.1Who may use the Services

The Services are built for working-age adults who can enter into a binding contract. By using them you confirm three things: that you meet the minimum age your jurisdiction sets, that you have authority to agree to these Terms (including authority to bind an organisation, if you are acting for one), and that what you tell us is accurate, current and complete.

You must not pose as someone else, misstate who you are or who you are connected to, put forward fraudulent credentials, or ask us to write or distribute documents claiming qualifications, employment history or certifications you do not actually hold. Where the law permits and where we act reasonably, we may turn down, pause or discontinue Services for any person.

2.2Your Account and keeping it secure

Some Services run through a registered Account. Registration details need to be accurate and kept current. Your credentials and authentication factors are yours to protect, and activity carried out through your Account is treated as yours, unless it followed from a failure on our side.

If you suspect anyone has reached or used your Account without permission, tell us without undue delay. We may pause or close an Account in the circumstances set out at clause 7.1, and we may ask you to prove your identity again where that is reasonably necessary to protect the Account or the integrity of the Services.

2.3What CV Warehouse provides

Our range covers career documents, platform work, automation, advisory work and digital material. Depending on the market and the Order, it can take in CV and résumé writing, editing, optimisation and ATS-oriented formatting, cover letter preparation, LinkedIn profile, visibility and authority services, CV Distribution, and job-search assistance together with AutoPilot job-search and application services. Alongside those we offer career consulting and career assessments, HR and career tools, calculators and diagnostic instruments, recruitment-related services for organisations, and Digital Products, training, masterclasses and career resources. Further career-related services may be introduced over time.

What any given Service includes, how far it reaches and how it reaches you all vary by package, Order, market and availability, and each is subject to its own terms. Nothing shown on the Website is an offer you can accept on the spot. A contract comes into being only when CV Warehouse accepts your Order.

2.4Terms attached to particular Services

Five Services carry conditions of their own. These sit on top of everything else in this Part, and each points to the Schedule that governs it in detail.

2.4.1 CV and résumé work

We build these from the information you give us, applying professional drafting, structure, positioning, wording, formatting and optimisation so that your material is presented to best effect. Qualifications, credentials, employment history and achievements are not something CV Warehouse creates, verifies, validates or certifies, and no Deliverable may be held out as doing so. Factual accuracy is yours to confirm, which is why the finished document comes back to you for review and approval. Revisions run under Schedule 1. No employment outcome is promised.

2.4.2 Cover letters

Cover letters are drawn from the information you supply and, where it applies, shaped around a role, an employer or a market. Delivery, revisions and approval follow Schedule 1. Checking the facts before you send anything out remains your responsibility, and no reply from a Recruiter or Employer is promised.

2.4.3 LinkedIn services

This work proceeds on your authorisation, and we need whatever information or access is reasonably required to carry it out. It concerns an independent Third-Party Platform that CV Warehouse neither owns, operates nor controls. That platform sets its own rules, policies, algorithms, features, ranking behaviour, account restrictions and availability, and can change any of them without warning. Unless an express written service guarantee provides otherwise, engagement levels, visibility, profile performance and employment outcomes are not promised. See Schedule 4.

2.4.4 CV Distribution

This is an exposure and outreach Service. On your authorisation we send your CV and supporting material out to Employers, Recruiters, databases and Third-Party Platforms, targeting on a reasonable-efforts basis by market, industry and role. It is not a hiring service. There is no promise that a particular Employer or Recruiter will receive, open, read, review, keep or reply to a CV, nor that any interview, offer or job will follow. Recipient databases are assembled from sources that can carry out-of-date, duplicated or inactive entries, and recipients decide for themselves what to do, which is outside our control. See Schedule 2.

2.4.5 AutoPilot and automated applications

AutoPilot works to criteria you supply and approve, which can cover target markets, positions, seniority, pay parameters and application preferences. Submissions use material you have supplied or approved, processed automatically and, where the Service provides for it, supported by human review.

Four points follow from the way this Service operates, and you accept them:

  • AutoPilot relies on Third-Party Platforms, Job Boards and Employer career portals;
  • those platforms apply technical restrictions, security controls, verification challenges, account requirements, rate limits and eligibility criteria that can block, slow or narrow what gets submitted;
  • vacancies can be pulled, expire, appear twice or be described wrongly by whoever listed them; and
  • figures for application volume are estimates rather than committed quantities, unless we commit to a number in writing.

Accuracy of the criteria and material you provide rests with you, and you can pause or stop the automation under these Terms. Automating the work gives us no control over Employer decisions, Job Board availability, Recruiter behaviour or hiring outcomes, and no interview, offer or job is promised. See Schedule 3.

2.5What we ask of you

Holding up your side of this agreement means doing the following:

  • giving us accurate, complete and current information, and updating it whenever something material changes;
  • reading through Deliverables and approving the facts in them before you put them to use;
  • keeping your Account credentials confidential and secure;
  • giving valid authorisation for anything you ask us to do on your behalf, distribution and applications included;
  • observing Applicable Law, and the rules of any Third-Party Platform involved in a Service;
  • never putting forward fraudulent, falsified or misleading documents or credentials;
  • never posing as another person or using their information without authority; and
  • never using the Services unlawfully or misusing them.

2.6Uses that are not permitted

The Website and the Services must not be used in connection with any of the following:

  • fraud or deception, and the making or use of false credentials or falsified documents;
  • posing as another person, or misusing anyone's identity or information;
  • releasing malicious software, or interfering with how any system runs or is secured;
  • gaining access without authorisation, penetration testing, scraping, harvesting or pulling Content out automatically;
  • reverse engineering, decompiling or deriving our proprietary systems, algorithms or methodologies;
  • exploiting promotions, referrals, trials, credits or refund mechanisms;
  • reselling or commercially redistributing the Services without our authorisation;
  • holding yourself out as CV Warehouse or as someone authorised to speak for us;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights; or
  • anything unlawful, or anything that breaches the rules of a Third-Party Platform.

2.7How we communicate with you

Transactional and service messages come with the territory: Order confirmations, delivery notifications, Account notices, security notices and support correspondence. They are needed to run the Services and are not marketing.

Marketing messages go out only where Applicable Law permits, and you can stop them whenever you like through the unsubscribe mechanism provided or by contacting us. Where the law allows it, you agree to receive communications electronically.

Part 3

How we work, and what nobody can promise

In short. We work to a professional standard and deliver what your Order describes. What we cannot promise is a hiring outcome, because those decisions belong to employers. This Part also covers timing, revisions, availability and changes to the Services.

3.1The standard we work to

On every Service you buy, CV Warehouse undertakes to:

  • carry out the work with reasonable professional care and skill;
  • run it through our established internal workflows and quality processes;
  • keep you informed of anything material about the Service and its progress, where that is reasonably practicable;
  • hand over the Deliverables your Order describes;
  • keep reasonable operational and security safeguards in place; and
  • handle Personal Information in line with the Privacy Policy and Applicable Law.

Our methodologies, tools and service standards stay under continuous review.

Beyond what these Terms, a Schedule or an express written service guarantee actually say, we do not undertake that the Website or the Services will run without interruption, on time, securely or free of error, nor that any particular response time, outcome or result will be reached.

3.2Outcomes nobody can promise you

Unless an express written service guarantee attached to a specific Service says otherwise, and then only as far as it says so, none of the following is guaranteed:

  • employment;
  • interviews;
  • job offers;
  • promotions;
  • salary increases, or any particular level of pay;
  • replies from Recruiters or Employers;
  • engagement on LinkedIn or any other platform;
  • any given number of applications, replies or interviews;
  • hiring decisions;
  • career advancement;
  • placement with a particular Employer; or
  • immigration or visa outcomes.

Decisions about employment and engagement sit entirely with Employers, Recruiters and other independent parties, shaped by market conditions, competition, timing and criteria that CV Warehouse does not control. Where an express written service guarantee covers a Service, it operates only as far as its own wording goes and creates no wider promise about employment or career outcomes.

3.3Timing, delivery and completion

Any delivery period we quote is a good-faith estimate rather than a deadline of the essence, unless a particular Service expressly commits to a timeframe. Express or priority delivery exists only where we expressly offer it and you have bought it.

Timelines stretch to absorb any delay on your side, whether that is missing information, feedback that has not arrived or an authorisation still outstanding, and they stretch equally for delays caused by third parties or by technical events beyond our reasonable control. Everything is delivered digitally. Should you go quiet for an extended period, we may treat the Order as dormant and either complete it or close it under the relevant Schedule.

3.4Revisions and your sign-off

How many revisions are included, how long you have to ask for them and what counts as a revision are all set out in your Order or the relevant Schedule. A revision refines a Deliverable inside its original scope and instructions. Changing direction materially, supplying new information, or switching the target role or market can amount to additional work, chargeable at our prevailing rates.

Where no feedback arrives inside the stated revision window, we may treat the Deliverable as approved and the Service as complete, so far as Applicable Law permits and without touching any statutory right of yours that cannot be excluded.

3.5Keeping the Website and Services available

We aim to keep everything running continuously, but continuous availability is not warranted. Access can be suspended or narrowed for scheduled or emergency maintenance, technical failure, network or internet disruption, third-party outages, hosting incidents, cyber incidents, security measures, or the events described at clause 8.5. Where it is reasonably practicable we work to keep any interruption short and its effect small, and to tell affected Customers when the interruption is material.

3.6Changes we make to the Services

Acting reasonably and within Applicable Law, we may launch new Services, alter or improve existing ones, add or retire features, revise workflows, swap integrations or technology providers, and update pricing going forward.

If a change would materially disadvantage a Service you have already paid for but not yet received, we will supply a materially equivalent Service or offer a proportionate remedy, where that is reasonably practicable. Nothing in this clause lets CV Warehouse walk away from obligations that have already accrued on an accepted Order.

Part 4

Prices, payment and cancellation

In short. You pay the price shown when you order. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you are already in. What you can get back depends on how far the work has gone, and your statutory rights survive all of it.

4.1Prices, taxes and how payment works

The price is whatever is shown or quoted at the time of your Order, in the currency displayed. Taxes, duties, bank charges and currency-conversion costs applied by your own payment provider fall to you unless we say otherwise. Submitting payment details authorises the charge for that Order.

Payments run through independent processors under their own terms. Should a payment fail, reverse or be declined, we may hold back or suspend the Service.

Prices can move, but only forward: a change never reaches an Order we have already accepted. Promotional pricing, discounts, coupons and offers carry whatever conditions are stated for them, may be capped by time or quantity, and cannot be combined unless we expressly allow it. Where a price is shown in error, we may, acting reasonably and where Applicable Law permits, decline or cancel the affected Order and return anything you paid.

4.2Subscriptions and recurring Services

A Subscription runs for its Service Period and bills at whatever frequency was stated when you bought it. Unless stated otherwise it renews automatically into successive Service Periods until you cancel under these Terms.

Cancellation lands at the end of the Service Period you are currently in, unless Applicable Law or the relevant Schedule says otherwise. On its own, cancelling does not entitle you to money back for a Service Period that has already started, though your non-excludable statutory rights are untouched. Where a trial is offered, the terms stated at the point of purchase govern it. Failed payments can lead to suspension. See Schedule 6.

4.3Cancelling and getting money back

Three sources govern refunds and cancellations together: this clause, Schedule 7, and any provisions specific to the Service you bought. Between them they determine what you are entitled to. Our Frequently Asked Questions page is practical guidance and does not vary these Terms.

Treatment normally turns on where the work has reached: a Service not yet started, one partly performed, one completed, a Digital Product you already have access to, and a Subscription are each handled differently. Duplicate payments come back once verified. Starting a chargeback before giving us a fair chance to put things right may lead us to suspend Services until the matter is settled. Nothing here cuts down a cancellation or refund right that Applicable Law gives you and does not allow to be excluded. See Schedule 7.

Part 5

Content, ownership and information

In short. Your material stays yours, and you licence us to use it to do the work. Our templates, systems and methods stay ours. Once you have paid, the Deliverables are yours to use for your career. Privacy, confidentiality and security are covered here too.

5.1Your content, and the permission you give us

Ownership of Customer Content stays with you as between the two of us. What you grant CV Warehouse is a non-exclusive licence to host, process, format, edit, reorganise, adapt and transmit that material as far as performing the Services requires, which includes sending it to Employers, Recruiters and Third-Party Platforms when you instruct us to.

Accuracy and lawfulness of Customer Content rest with you. You confirm you hold the authority, consents or other lawful basis needed to hand over third-party information, referee and employer contact details being the usual example. Material that is unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, defamatory or otherwise caught by clause 2.6 must not be supplied. Personal Information is handled under the Privacy Policy.

5.2What belongs to CV Warehouse

Every right, title and interest in the Website and its Content stays with CV Warehouse or our licensors. That covers our trademarks, trade names, logos, branding, designs, templates, software, databases, methodologies, assessment instruments, scoring systems, tools, algorithms, proprietary workflows, graphics, videos, training materials, written content, documentation and proprietary systems. Nothing in these Terms hands ownership of any of it to anyone.

None of that disturbs your ownership of Customer Content, or the licence clause 5.3 gives you over the Deliverables we prepare for you.

5.3What you may do with your Deliverables

Once payment is complete, CV Warehouse grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the Deliverables prepared for you for personal career, job-search and professional purposes. Sending them to Employers, Recruiters and platforms is covered, as is reasonable internal business use where an organisation bought the Deliverable.

The licence stops short of three things. You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, publish or commercially distribute our proprietary templates, methodologies, assessment instruments, scoring systems, tools or systems;
  • reproduce or reverse engineer our proprietary software, algorithms or workflows; or
  • use Deliverables to build something that competes with us.

5.4Privacy and personal information

Collection, use, disclosure, transfer, retention and protection of Personal Information all run under the Privacy Policy and Applicable Law. That policy deals with the categories of information processed, international transfers, service providers, retention, security, individual rights, and how controller and processor roles fall across different Services.

5.5Confidentiality

Non-public information one side discloses to the other in connection with the Services is confidential and must be treated as such. On your side that means our internal processes and materials; on ours it means your CV and career information and your business information.

Disclosure is permitted in four situations only:

  • to personnel and service providers who are under confidentiality obligations, on a need-to-know basis;
  • where Applicable Law, a regulation or a competent authority compels it;
  • where it is necessary to perform the Services on the Customer's instruction; or
  • where the information is already public, or becomes public otherwise than through a breach of this clause.

5.6Security

We keep technical and organisational safeguards proportionate to the nature and risk of what we process: access controls, authentication measures, monitoring and incident-management procedures, resting on reputable infrastructure providers. No system, transmission or storage method can be warranted as absolutely secure. Credential security remains yours under clause 2.2. Security incidents are handled under the Privacy Policy and Applicable Law.

5.7Reviews, testimonials and feedback

Reviews and testimonials are given freely. CV Warehouse does not require them, does not make any Service conditional on them, and offers nothing in return for a positive one.

Where you give a testimonial or review and authorise its use, we may publish it in our marketing, whole or fairly summarised. You can withdraw that authorisation for the future by contacting us, and we will arrange removal within a reasonable period where it is reasonably practicable.

Suggestions, ideas and feedback about the Services may be used by CV Warehouse without restriction or obligation, with one limit: we will not identify you without your authorisation.

Part 6

Third parties and automated technology

In short. Much of what we do runs across platforms we do not own, and some of it is done with AI assistance. Neither is under our control in the way our own work is, and both carry limits you should know about before you rely on the output.

6.1Platforms and providers outside our control

Delivering the Services means working across Third-Party Platforms and Third-Party Services: professional networks, Job Boards, recruitment platforms, payment processors, cloud and hosting providers, email and communications providers, analytics providers and AI providers. Each is independent of CV Warehouse and runs on its own terms, privacy policies, fees, account requirements, technical restrictions, availability limits and enforcement practices, any of which can change without warning.

None of it is within our control, and to the fullest extent Applicable Law permits we are not answerable for what those parties do, fail to do, decide, or how they handle data, nor for their outages or policy changes. Whatever you do on a Third-Party Platform is governed by that party's own terms, and reading them is down to you.

6.2AI and automated processing

AI-assisted and automated technology supports several Services. We use it for:

  • generating content and supporting drafting;
  • optimising résumés and profiles;
  • analysis and classification;
  • matching and recommending jobs;
  • automating workflows; and
  • processing data and assisting with quality.

Third-party AI and technology providers may be engaged for any of it.

Automated output is probabilistic and assistive by nature. It can carry inaccuracies, gaps or phrasing that needs fixing, and it is not professional, legal, immigration or career advice. Where a Service provides for human review, material output goes through it. Reviewing and approving factual content before use stays with you. Automated processing decides no hiring outcome and promises no employment. Where Applicable Law entitles you to ask for human review of automated processing that materially affects you, clause 8.10 is the route for that request.

Part 7

Ending the agreement, and how risk is shared

In short. Either side can bring things to an end, and some clauses carry on afterwards. This Part sets out what we do not warrant, caps what we can be liable for, and describes the narrow circumstances in which you would cover our losses.

7.1Suspension and termination

Where Applicable Law permits and where we act reasonably, we may suspend or terminate access to the Website, an Account or a Service, in whole or in part. The circumstances are these:

  • payment not made, or payment reversed;
  • fraud, or suspected fraud;
  • abuse of the Services or of our people;
  • breach of these Terms that is material or repeated;
  • unlawful activity;
  • material security risk;
  • requirements imposed on us by a Third-Party Platform; or
  • material risk of harm to CV Warehouse, our customers or third parties.

Where it is reasonably practicable and lawful we tell you first, and where the breach can be put right we allow a reasonable opportunity to do so.

From your side, closing your Account or cancelling a Subscription under clause 4.2 and the relevant Schedules brings the arrangement to an end. Amounts properly due still stand, as do any statutory cancellation rights that cannot be excluded.

7.2What happens, and what survives, when it ends

Termination has four immediate consequences:

  • access to the Account and the Services stops;
  • amounts properly due stay payable;
  • Deliverables already handed over remain licensed to you under clause 5.3; and
  • information is kept or deleted under the Privacy Policy and Applicable Law.

Certain clauses outlive the agreement: those covering intellectual property, confidentiality, Customer responsibilities that had already accrued, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law and dispute resolution, together with any other provision whose nature means it is meant to survive.

7.3Warranties we do not give

To the fullest extent Applicable Law permits, and always subject to clause 8.1 and to any express written service guarantee, the Website, the Services and the Deliverables come without warranties, conditions or representations beyond those written into these Terms.

Specifically, CV Warehouse warrants nothing about:

  • outcomes relating to careers, hiring, interviews, pay, immigration or visas;
  • what Employers, Recruiters or other third parties decide, when they respond, or how they behave;
  • whether Third-Party Platforms, Job Boards or vacancy listings are available, accurate, complete or continuous;
  • whether information supplied by the Customer is accurate or complete;
  • what automated or AI-assisted processing produces;
  • the content or practices of external websites; or
  • the Website operating without interruption, on time or free of error.

7.4Limits on what we are liable for

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that Applicable Law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent Applicable Law permits, CV Warehouse carries no liability for:

  • indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss;
  • lost profits, revenue, anticipated savings or business;
  • lost opportunity, including a lost employment or career opportunity, or salary you expected to earn;
  • reputational loss;
  • data lost or corrupted otherwise than through our breach;
  • loss flowing from what Employers, Recruiters or other third parties do, fail to do or decide;
  • loss flowing from changes to Third-Party Platforms or Job Boards, restrictions they impose, or their unavailability;
  • loss flowing from information the Customer supplied that was inaccurate, incomplete or unlawful; or
  • loss flowing from technical interruptions or the events at clause 8.5.

Subject to the first paragraph of this clause, and to the fullest extent Applicable Law permits, our total liability connected with a Service, whether framed in contract, tort (negligence included), statute or otherwise, is capped at what you paid CV Warehouse for that Service across the twelve (12) months before the event that gave rise to the liability. Where Applicable Law will not allow that cap, liability is limited as far down as the law does allow.

7.5When you would cover our losses

So far as Applicable Law permits, you indemnify CV Warehouse against reasonable losses, damages, liabilities and costs, reasonable legal fees included, arising from third-party claims to the extent those claims were caused by:

  • your breach of these Terms;
  • false, falsified or misleading information or credentials you supplied;
  • unlawful activity by you, or misuse of the Services;
  • Customer Content of yours that infringes third-party rights; or
  • another person's information supplied by you without the authority to do so.

The indemnity falls away to the extent a claim arises from our own breach, negligence or unlawful act. We will tell you promptly about any claim, and we will not settle it without your consent, which you must not unreasonably withhold.

Part 8

Your rights, disputes and general provisions

In short. Consumer law overrides anything here that conflicts with it. If something goes wrong, raise it with us first and we work through it. The rest of this Part is the standard legal machinery, and it ends with how to reach us.

8.1Rights the law gives you regardless

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee, warranty or remedy that Applicable Law confers on you and does not permit to be excluded, restricted or modified. Any provision that would have that effect is read down only as far as is necessary to let those rights operate. Consumers may hold further statutory rights, on cancellation, refunds, conformity of services and dispute resolution among others, and those rights apply on top of these Terms.

8.2Complaints, and how disputes are resolved

Resolving a concern directly and quickly suits everyone. The steps below apply without affecting any remedy Applicable Law gives you:

  • you send the complaint to CV Warehouse using the details at clause 8.10, with the relevant particulars;
  • we acknowledge it, review it and respond within a reasonable period;
  • both sides allow a reasonable opportunity to settle it informally, including discussing a proportionate remedy;
  • if it remains open, the parties may agree to mediation or another form of alternative dispute resolution; and
  • failing that, either party may use the formal mechanism available under the governing law and jurisdiction at clause 8.3.

8.3Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim connected with them or their subject matter, are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international law.

None of that strips a consumer of the protection given by the mandatory laws of the country where they habitually live, or of the right to bring proceedings in that country's courts where Applicable Law provides for it.

8.4Using the Services from other countries

We make the Services available across the GCC and international markets. Laws, consumer protections, employment practices and platform availability differ from one jurisdiction to the next, and particular Services, features, prices or payment methods may be unavailable, restricted or unsuitable in some of them.

CV Warehouse makes no representation that the Services, or any Content, are appropriate, lawful or available for use everywhere. Users reach the Services on their own initiative and carry responsibility for complying with Applicable Law where they are.

8.5Events outside reasonable control

Neither party is liable for failing to perform, or performing late, where the cause lies beyond its reasonable control. Paying money that is due is the one obligation this does not excuse. Qualifying causes include:

  • natural disasters and severe weather;
  • epidemics and public-health measures;
  • war, armed conflict, terrorism and civil disturbance;
  • governmental or regulatory action;
  • labour disputes;
  • failure or interruption of power, telecommunications, internet or infrastructure;
  • major technical failure;
  • cyber incidents, denial-of-service and ransomware events included; and
  • failures of third-party platforms, hosting or service providers.

The affected party tells the other where that is reasonably practicable, and uses reasonable endeavours to limit the effect and get back to performing.

8.6Giving and receiving notices

We may give notice by email to the address attached to your Account, by a notification inside the Account or the Services, or by posting it on the Website where it applies generally. You give notice using the details at clause 8.10.

Keeping your contact details current and accurate is your responsibility. Notices sent to the address you last gave us count as received in line with Applicable Law.

8.7Transferring this agreement

CV Warehouse may assign, novate, transfer or subcontract its rights and obligations, wholly or in part, to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation or transfer of business or assets, provided the transfer does not materially reduce your rights under these Terms.

You may not assign or transfer your own rights or obligations without our prior written consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold. These Terms bind and benefit both parties and their permitted successors and assigns.

8.8If part of these Terms cannot take effect

Where a competent authority holds a provision invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision is modified only as far as is needed to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. Everything else stays in full force.

8.9Delay in enforcing a right

A party that fails or delays in exercising a right or remedy has not waived it, or any other right or remedy, and exercising something once or in part does not prevent exercising it again. A waiver counts only if it is in writing, and only for the circumstance it was given for.

Schedules

Service Schedules 1 to 8

In short. Each Schedule carries the operating detail for one Service. They are part of these Terms, and where a Schedule and the general clauses disagree, the Schedule governs the Service it relates to.

Schedule 1 — CV, résumé and cover letter services

Writing, editing, optimising and ATS-oriented formatting of CVs and résumés, and the preparation of cover letters, run under this Schedule. You provide the career information and any context about the role or market you are aiming at. We produce the Deliverable, applying professional drafting, structure, keyword positioning and formatting.

Your Order states how many revisions are included and how long you have to request them. A revision refines the Deliverable inside its original scope; changing direction or introducing new material may be chargeable. Before you use anything, read it through and confirm that every factual statement is correct, because qualifications and employment history are not something we verify or certify.

ATS behaviour varies between employers and systems and follows no common standard. We optimise against prevailing good practice, and no particular parsing result, ranking or reply is promised.

Schedule 2 — CV Distribution

Sending a Customer's CV out to Employers, Recruiters, databases and Third-Party Platforms is governed here. Ordering CV Distribution authorises and instructs CV Warehouse to transmit and disclose your CV and supporting material for that purpose, and confirms that what those documents contain is accurate and lawful.

Targeting runs on a reasonable-efforts basis, using the market, industry, seniority and role parameters agreed with you. Recipient databases come from sources maintained by third parties and can hold inactive, out-of-date, duplicated or reassigned contacts, so delivery to any named organisation or individual is not promised.

What happens next belongs to the recipient: whether a CV is received, opened, reviewed, kept, forwarded or acted on is entirely their decision. Volume figures describe reach, not replies. No interview, response, offer or employment outcome is promised. A transmission cannot be recalled once it has gone, and any deletion request has to go to the recipient concerned.

Schedule 3 — AutoPilot job search and applications

Automated and AI-assisted job-search and application work runs under this Schedule. You set and approve the search criteria, covering target markets, roles, seniority, pay parameters and application preferences, and you supply or approve the application material. That authorises us to find vacancies and submit applications for you against those criteria, and you may vary, pause or end the authorisation on reasonable notice.

Applications travel through Job Boards, recruitment platforms and Employer career portals run by independent parties. Those platforms apply technical restrictions, verification and security controls, account requirements, rate limits and eligibility criteria capable of blocking, delaying, narrowing or reversing a submission. Vacancies get pulled, expire, appear twice, get reposted or are described inaccurately by whoever listed them. Volume figures in service descriptions are estimates built on the typical availability of matching vacancies rather than committed quantities, unless we commit in writing, and how many matching roles exist depends on the market.

Where the Service provides for it, human review supports the automation. Accuracy of your criteria and material rests with you, and you should read the applications and correspondence that come back. Employer decisions, Recruiter conduct, Job Board availability and hiring outcomes are outside our control, and no interview, offer or job is promised.

Schedule 4 — LinkedIn services

Profile optimisation, visibility, content and authority work on LinkedIn runs under this Schedule. You authorise the work and supply whatever information or access it reasonably needs. You stay the account holder, and complying with the platform's own terms stays with you.

An independent third party operates that platform. Its policies, algorithms, features, ranking behaviour, verification requirements, restrictions and availability lie outside our control and can change without warning, which may affect visibility or delivery. Restrictions the platform places on your account, including any that follow from your own activity, are between you and the platform. Unless an express written service guarantee provides otherwise, engagement, impressions, connections, profile views, recruiter contact and employment outcomes are not promised.

Service period for the Go Viral package. At AED 1,000, the Go Viral package covers an initial service period of 30 days running from the date the Service starts. On request that period can be extended, up to three months in total, subject to agreement at the time you ask. An extension applies to the same package and leaves the scope of work in your Order unchanged. Where the Service is supplied on a renewing basis, the renewal terms stated at the point of purchase apply, and future renewals can be cancelled under clause 4.2.

Schedule 5 — Career assessments and digital products

Assessments, calculators, tests, indices and comparable digital instruments are supplied under this Schedule. Their purpose is informational, educational and developmental, and they work through automated scoring and comparative models.

Results are indicative. They depend on how accurate and complete the information entered was, and on the conditions the instrument was completed in. They are not a psychological, medical, clinical, financial, legal, immigration or professional diagnosis, and they are not advice. They do not replace professional assessment, they do not measure suitability for a particular role, and they do not predict hiring outcomes.

Calculators produce estimates, not statements of legal entitlement; what you are actually entitled to depends on Applicable Law and on the contract in question. Access to a Digital Product runs for the period and on the terms stated at the point of purchase.

Schedule 6 — Subscriptions

Where a Service arrives on a recurring basis, this Schedule applies. Billing frequency, Service Period and the scope included are whatever was stated at the point of purchase. Renewal into successive Service Periods happens automatically unless you cancel before the current one ends.

Cancelling stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current Service Period, with access continuing until then. Payments that fail or reverse can lead to suspension, and to termination if they are not put right within a reasonable period. Price changes take effect from the Service Period following notice. Trials, where offered, roll into a paid Subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends, as stated at the point of purchase. Statutory cancellation and refund rights are untouched.

Schedule 7 — Refunds and cancellation

Refunds and cancellations are governed here, read together with clause 4.3. Provisions specific to a Service may also apply. What you are entitled to normally depends on whether work has started, how much of it has been done, whether Deliverables have been handed over, whether access to a Digital Product has been granted, and whether the Service is a Subscription.

Where an express written service guarantee covers a Service, the remedy set out in that guarantee applies on its own stated conditions and is the remedy for the matters it covers. Duplicate or mistaken payments come back once verified. Statutory cancellation and refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded are unaffected by anything in this Schedule.

Schedule 8 — Services for organisations and recruiters

This Schedule governs Services supplied to an organisation, an employer or a recruitment intermediary, which takes in recruitment-related services, organisational assessments and diagnostic tools.

The organisation confirms it holds the authority and lawful basis to supply personal information about its personnel, candidates or contacts, and that it will comply with Applicable Law, data protection and employment law included, in how it uses any Deliverable or output.

Where we process personal information on the organisation's documented instructions, the role each party plays is as described in the Privacy Policy and, where required, in a separate data-processing agreement. Output is decision-support material and nothing more. Employment, engagement and personnel decisions remain the organisation's alone, as does responsibility for making them lawful and fair.
